Frequently Asked Questions
What is pediatric physical therapy?
Pediatric physical therapy helps children improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall motor development. Therapy supports children in reaching milestones, moving with confidence, and participating more fully in daily life and play.
Do you provide therapy in our home?
Yes! Sessions can take place in your home. They can also take place at your child’s daycare. Children often feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings, which helps them engage more easily and makes therapy activities more meaningful in real-life settings.
What ages do you work with?
I work with newborns, toddlers, and children up to the age of 18 who need support with gross motor skills, strength, balance, and mobility.
What happens during a session?
Sessions are play-based and designed around your child’s interests. Activities focus on building strength, coordination, balance, and functional skills in a way that feels fun and encouraging — not clinical or intimidating.
Do parents stay during sessions?
Yes. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be involved. I provide guidance and activities you can use between sessions to support progress at home.
Do you accept insurance?
Small But Mighty Does not accept insurance. We are private pay only. However, we can provide a superbill upon request so that you can request possible reimbursement from your insurance company.
Do you accept the Step-Up Scholarship?
Yes, Small But Mighty Physical Therapy is a Step-Up Provider.

An evaluation is $250 and includes a written report with assessment results as well as treatment recommendations. A 30-minute treatment session is $80, and an hour treatment session is $160.
